WHAT IS THIS ROLE ABOUT?

The Compliance Manager will support the development, implementation, and integration of compliance frameworks, programs, policies, and tools to ensure the Cuscal’s adherence to regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal policies. This role will have a strong focus on Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Counter-Terrorism Financing (CTF), Sanctions and Privacy compliance, ensuring robust controls are in place to mitigate financial crime risks and uphold data protection obligations. Additionally, the role will contribute to broader compliance functions, fostering a culture of regulatory integrity and risk awareness across the Cuscal.

THE RESPONSIBILITIES IN THIS ROLE INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

  • Act as an SME for AML/CTF and Privacy compliance, providing second-line oversight on financial crime and data protection risks across the compliance lifecycle.
  • Support the implementation of Cuscal’s compliance framework to ensure adherence to AML/CTF, Privacy, and other regulatory obligations.
  • Managing Line 2 obligations and controls to oversee financial crime compliance risks.
  • Supporting the First Line of Defence with compliance tools, templates, systems, and training to strengthen AML/CTF and Privacy capabilities.
  • Monitoring compliance incidents and breaches, ensuring accurate reporting to senior leadership, regulators, and the Board.
  • Providing compliance advisory on AML/CTF risk mitigation, Privacy impact assessments, and regulatory developments.
  • Support the development, design, and implementation of policies and standards to effectively manage compliance risks related to AML/CTF, Privacy, and prudential obligations.
  • Oversee the effectiveness of the Compliance Management framework, ensuring alignment with financial crime compliance best practices and privacy obligations under the Australian Privacy Act and APRA regulations.
  • Support the implementation of Cuscal’s Breach Reporting Guidelines to ensure timely and effective escalation of AML/CTF, Privacy, and regulatory breaches.
