Position Summary:
The Compliance Manager is responsible for assisting with Compliance Program administration for a large, and still growing, ophthalmology management services organization, which currently consists of over 200 providers, 120 clinical sites, 19 ASCs, and 3,000 employees in 12 states. Key job functions include assisting with the new Company affiliate compliance integration process; responding to and reconciling incidents; performing onsite compliance surveys; administering the Company’s compliance training and education program; and rendering compliance advice throughout the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Exercises discretion and independent judgment in evaluating and providing useful insights on compliance matters.
  • Contributes to the team effort by completing other tasks/projects as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in healthcare or a related field. A master’s in health administration, risk management, or law is preferred. Will consider 5-10 years of related experience in lieu of degree requirement.
  • 3-5 years of healthcare compliance experience, ideally in a multisite provider setting.
  • This position may be domiciled in MI, IL, or PA working from a home office. No moving allowance will be offered.
  • Up to 40% overnight travel to MI, IL, and PA.
  • Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office; especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to interact effectively and professionally with individuals at all levels; both internal and external.
  • Exercises sound judgment in responding to inquiries; understands when to route inquiries to next level.
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and superior attention to detail.
  • Must be able to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously within inflexible time frames. Ability to adapt to frequent priority changes.
  • Team player that develops strong collaborative working relationships with internal partners and can effectively engage and ability to build consensus among cross-functional teams
  • Strong problem solving and negotiation skills
