We have a fantastic opportunity to join us as Compliance Manager at Holland and Barrett. The Global Compliance Manager will ensure that the business adheres to all relevant UK and international regulations, providing expert legal advice and guidance on compliance matters, will monitor regulatory developments, and foster a culture of compliance within our organisation.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Strong knowledge of UK and global compliance regulations relevant to the retail, health, and wellness sector.
  • Qualified solicitor in the UK preferred but not essential
  • Experience in regulatory compliance Essential.
  • Knowledge of relevant global regulations (e.g., AML, Anti-bribery and corruption, product safety, sanctions legislation) essential.
  • Experience in advising businesses on compliance-related legal issues is essential.
  • Experience in a compliance, role within the retail, health, wellness, or consumer goods industry is preferred.
  • Experience working in a global or multi-jurisdictional business environment is desirable.
Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Regulatory Compliance: Lead the development and implementation of compliance policies and frameworks to ensure the business meets all legal and regulatory obligations.
  • Risk Management: Conduct compliance risk assessments, identifying potential areas of vulnerability and recommending mitigation strategies.
  • Policy & Procedure Development: Draft, review, and update policies, procedures, and codes of conduct in line with evolving legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Legal Advisory: Provide legal counsel on compliance matters, including AML, sanctions legislation and ethical business practices.
  • Training & Awareness: Develop and deliver compliance training programs to educate colleagues and stakeholders on regulatory obligations and best practices.
  • Incident & Investigations Management: Oversee compliance investigations, ensuring timely resolution and appropriate corrective actions.
  • Regulatory Engagement: Liaise with UK and international regulatory bodies, ensuring Holland and Barrett remains aligned with evolving regulatory landscapes.
  • Monitoring & Auditing: Conduct internal compliance audits, monitor adherence to policies, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Third-Party Compliance: Assess compliance risks associated with suppliers, distributors, and other third-party partners, overseeing legal due diligence and monitoring processes.
  • Reporting & Documentation: Maintain compliance records, prepare reports for senior management, and ensure accurate documentation for regulatory audits and submissions.
