University Degree (desirable)

EXPERIENCE :

The candidate must have experience in the insurance or financial services industry or in another highly-regulated industry. They should also have familiarity with the European regulatory environment, ideally insurance or financial services, and of managing regulators.
They should be a self-starter, adept at managing competing priorities with excellent time management and organisation skills. The candidate should also have good inter-personnel skills and be experienced at communicating financial, risk, compliance and regulatory issues to key stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

ROLE PURPOSE :

Working with the Senior Compliance Manager – Regulatory Services, primary responsibility to lead and support Chubb’s key regulatory relationships in the UK, including the PRA, FCA and Lloyd’s.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Working with the Senior Compliance Manager – Regulatory Services, lead and support Chubb’s regulatory interactions in the UK, in particular the PRA, FCA and Lloyd’s, and ensure timely, accurate and complete responses and returns.
  • Lead and support the coordination of regulatory interactions across the region, adhering to protocols for regulatory engagement, escalation, and reporting. Ensure records of regulatory interactions are retained.
  • Efficiently and effectively coordinate with key stakeholders within the Chubb EMEA business that have routine regulatory interactions and with contacts at our key regulators.
  • Be directly involved in managing regulatory requests and coordinating responses to key interactions, such as data calls, surveys, and onsite examinations.
  • Ensure that regulatory meetings and other communications are monitored and that actions from these are captured and tracked, escalating any issues.
  • Manage Chubb EMEA’s responsibilities under individual accountability regimes in the UK and France, ensuring that applications are made and that associated documentation such as Management Responsibility Maps and Statements of Responsibility are maintained.
  • Manage Chubb EMEA’s licences and passporting notices in order that it can trade in the UK, across the EEA and overseas, as relevant.
  • Support Chubb EMEA in its regulatory engagement through the provision of summaries of regulatory requests, briefings to individuals being interviewed, minute taking services, tracking of action items, etc.
  • Manage Chubb EMEA’s regulatory notifications to ensure reporting obligations are met.
  • Ensure the Senior Compliance Manager – Regulatory Services is supported in relation to internal reporting obligations to various forums.
