Description

Set in a beautiful Yorkshire valley, Ampleforth College is the world’s foremost Catholic boarding school, welcoming girls and boys of all faiths aged 11-18. Each student’s unique talents are recognised and nurtured within a welcoming community rooted in Benedictine values.
It is the responsibility of the Estates department to ensure that the Colleges’ buildings and grounds are maintained to the highest standard, thereby ensuring a safe environment for all pupils and staff.
We are seeking to appoint an experienced Compliance Officer. The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring compliance throughout the campus and act as a link between the campus and the Estates team.
Main Duties:

Regulatory knowledge: have an in-depth understanding off relevant laws, regulations and industry standards

  • Risk Assessment: identify, assess and mitigate compliance risks
  • Mentoring and Auditing: conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with internal policies and eternal regulations.
  • Reporting: prepare regular compliance reports for senior management.
  • Stakeholder Management: build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage the following compliance functions:
  • Legionella control
  • Asbestos management
  • Fixed wiring testing
  • Portable appliance testing
  • Glazing
  • Lifts
  • Pressure Systems
  • Attend training in and follow all relevant safeguarding, health, safety and welfare processes and procedures
