As a Compliance Officer at CloudTech X, you will play a vital role in safeguarding our organisation, ensuring we adhere to all applicable regulatory requirements, and maintaining the highest standards of compliance within the fintech and blockchain sectors. Your expertise will be crucial in upholding our commitment to transparency, security, and trust.

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree in finance, law, or a related field. Relevant certifications in coding and programming skills is a plus.
Prior experience within the fintech industry and blockchain
Working knowledge of AUSTRAC and ASIC requirements
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills - highly proficient in spoken and written English

Responsibilities:

Regulatory Compliance: Stay up-to-date with the latest laws, regulations, and industry standards related to fintech and blockchain. Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies and procedures to ensure the company’s adherence to these requirements.
Monitoring and Reporting: Continuously monitor our operations and activities to identify and mitigate compliance risks. Generate reports, and, if necessary, report non-compliance issues or suspicious matters to relevant authorities.
AML and KYC: Implement and oversee Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) procedures to prevent fraudulent activities and ensure the legitimacy of transactions and customers. Assist with the implementation and ongoing maintenance of AML software and transaction monitoring systems.
Internal Training: Conduct compliance training for employees to increase awareness and understanding of regulatory requirements, promoting a culture of compliance throughout the organisation.
Audit and Investigations: Conduct testing to assess compliance with regulations and internal policies. Collaborate with external auditors and regulators during audits and examinations. Address findings and recommendations promptly.
