Role Description The Compliance Officer is a part-time, hybrid role based in Dubai, with a mix of on-site work and the flexibility to work from home. The person in this role will design, implement, and maintain compliance frameworks aligned with relevant regulations, institutional policies, and ethical standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring regulatory changes, conducting risk assessments, reviewing internal processes, and preparing reports for leadership and relevant stakeholders. The Compliance Officer will provide guidance and training to staff on compliance requirements, support audits, and address compliance-related queries. Collaboration with finance, research, and administrative teams is essential to ensure that projects, partnerships, and data management practices adhere to applicable laws and institutional guidelines.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Compliance Management and Regulatory Compliance, including experience implementing and monitoring compliance frameworks.
• Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills to assess risks, interpret regulations, and evaluate the effectiveness of controls.
• Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to explain complex compliance issues clearly, prepare reports, and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
• Candidates should possess a sound understanding of Finance to ensure financial processes, reporting, and funding arrangements meet regulatory and institutional standards.
• Relevant academic background in law, business, public administration, finance, or a related field; experience in higher education, research institutions, or non-profit settings is an advantage.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently in a hybrid environment, manage multiple priorities, and maintain high ethical standards and confidentiality.
• Familiarity with international compliance norms, data protection regulations, and risk management methodologies is beneficial.
