We currently have an opportunity for a Compliance Officer to join our Health & Education team and play a key role in ensuring safe, compliant and high‑quality facilities services across critical hospital environments. Reporting to the Quality Risk & Compliance Manager, you’ll help deliver high‑quality outcomes that support essential healthcare services across the region. This role is max term till dec 2027 and based out of Orange at Bloomfield Hospital with weekly travel to Bathurst Hospital required.   What You’ll Do  This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including: * Ensuring compliance with contractual, legislative and governance requirements across Hard Facilities Management services in a hospital environment.  * Conducting audits, inspections and reviews to identify non‑conformance, drive continuous improvement and support best‑practice service delivery.  * Partnering closely with operational teams, asset management and subcontractors to uplift quality, safety and performance outcomes.  * Supporting reporting, documentation and evidence preparation for audits, client reviews and performance reporting.  * Contributing to a proactive safety culture by promoting Zero Harm principles and continuous improvement initiatives   What You’ll Bring  * Experience in compliance, quality or facilities management within complex, regulated environments such as healthcare or infrastructure.  * A relevant trade, technical or facilities‑related qualification, or equivalent practical experience.  * Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to engage professionally with diverse stakeholders.  * A detail‑focused, organised approach with the ability to interpret data, reports and performance metrics.  * A collaborative mindset, curiosity for improvement and a commitment to doing things the right way, every day.   More than anything, you’ll bring a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes for our clients.  Why Downer?
