Responsibilities

FIND PURPOSE AND IMPACT

Make an impact by being responsible for delivering programs and projects in the areas of water and sewerage compliance including trade waste, backflow prevention, water restrictions and undertake other compliance activities. The role is also responsible for enhancing the protection of Council’s sewerage system and ensures compliance with Council policy and regulation guidelines. Whilst assisting in project and contract management activities including the supervision of contractors as required.

You’ll make an impact by:

  • Assisting in the delivery of Water and Sewerage compliance contracts and projects
  • Ensuring the effective implementation of Council policies in respect to trade waste, backflow prevention devices, fire metering and water metering, water restrictions, illegal activities, and other regulatory matters relating to Council’s water/sewerage clients and customers
  • Undertaking inspections of residential, commercial and industrial properties to ensure compliance with Council policiesUndertaking analysis and reporting on trade waste

To thrive in this role, you will need:

  • Extensive experience in water/sewer industry or related compliance program within a commercial context
  • Completion of the NSW Department of Planning and Environment Liquid Trade Waste Regulation course and or/ a Certificate IV in Water Operations (Trade Waste) or willingness to obtain within 2 years
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare technical and administrative reports and make sound recommendations
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the use of MS Office software and computerised systems
