Description FAME is seeking a strategic, collaborative and creative individual to join our risk management team. You will work closely with the Chief Risk Officer and other leaders to help design and implement a forward-thinking compliance program for FAME’s future. The Compliance Officer will oversee and execute the Compliance function within the Risk Pillar. They will be responsible for the design and management of Compliance and Internal Audit Program, including policy development and subsequent regular internal testing. The Compliance Officer ensures the Authority’s risk is appropriately understood and managed across risk areas, including but not limited to operational risk and finance risk, and advises and drives the development and implementation, testing and maintenance of new and existing policies. Requirements Four (4) year college degree preferred; preferably in business, public administration, program evaluation, or finance; background in compliance plus specialized experience in banking and/or higher education finance (or an appropriate combination of education and work experience); advanced education and/or certifications preferred. Minimum of three (3) years of experience in related field. Ability to read, understand, distill, and explain applicable laws, rules and regulations. Strong project management skills. Strong analytical and systems-thinking skills. Strong internal customer relationship management skills. Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Strong skills in Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
