Halifax Regional Municipality is inviting applications for four (4) permanent, full-time positions of Compliance Officer II in Community Standards & Compliance, Community Safety.

As a member of the Community Standards and Compliance team reporting to the Supervisor(s) of Regional Compliance, the Compliance Officer II (COII) is responsible for enforcing Municipal Legislation existing in a range of By-laws including but not limited to:

Noise By-law
Pesticides By-law
Streets By-law
Solid Waste Collection and Disposal By-law

Security Clearance Requirements: Applicants may be required to complete an employment security screening check.

WORK STATUS: Four (4) permanent, full-time positions
HOURS OF WORK: 7 hour/day Monday to Friday. Shifts are either 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. or 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. 35 hours per week. As well, the availability to work overtime as needed to meet operational needs on Saturday’s and Sunday’s. Based on operational requirements, the work schedule may be subject to change.
SALARY: Level 8, $39.63 per hour as per the NSGEU Local 222 Collective Agreement
WORK LOCATION: 7 Mellor Avenue, Dartmouth, NS
