Description

We are looking for a Compliance Officer (m/f/d) to join our Legal & Compliance department at our location in Mülheim an der Ruhr as soon as possible.

Your tasks

  • Advising management, executives and employees on all compliance-related issues, and serving as the central contact person for compliance topics.
  • Further development of the compliance management system and management of the implementation of regulatory requirements, risk-reducing processes, measures and guidelines within the corporate group.
  • Conception and implementation of training, communication and awareness measures to promote a sustainable compliance culture
  • Support and further development of the whistleblower system as well as handling of compliance issues
  • Independent management and participation in national and international projects related to compliance, including the preparation of reports and decision-making documents for management and relevant committees.
  • Collaboration with the Group Internal Audit department in identifying, assessing and tracking compliance risks, as well as supporting internal audits.
  • Depending on the area of ​​expertise, this may include assuming the role of data protection officer, including providing data protection advice or supporting specialist departments and subsidiaries in their day-to-day legal business, particularly in national and international contractual matters.

Your profile

  • Successfully completed second state examination in law and several years of professional experience in the areas of compliance, risk management, data protection or commercial legal advice.
  • Knowledge of relevant legal and regulatory frameworks (including corruption and money laundering prevention, supply chain due diligence obligations, and antitrust and competition law) and willingness to continuously familiarize oneself with new regulatory requirements.
  • Ideally, certification in the area of ​​compliance and/or data protection.
  • Proficient use of MS Office and fluent English skills.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, initiative, integrity, communication skills and teamwork, as well as a confident demeanor in an international environment.
