  • We have an experienced and highly skilled team of professionals who understand our clients and Appointed Representatives’ (AR) needs well and are passionate about delivering high levels of personal service to create good customer outcomes.
  • As part of our continuing growth plans, we are seeking to strengthen our already highly experienced team by recruiting a Compliance Officer to support our Compliance Monitoring Programme.

Responsibilities

Completion of compliance monitoring activity including, but not limited to;

  • All audit activity for all client types
  • Thematic reviews
  • Financial Promotions Approval
  • Social Media and Website checks
  • AR Approved Persons Competency & FIT assessments
  • Online review assessment
  • MI reviews
  • Solvency Checks & Creditsafe monitoring
  • Review of Lenders/funders

Other tasks:

  • Assist in the design, drafting, review and implementation of the firm’s compliance policy documents and procedures. Conduct suitable monitoring to ensure the processes are embedded within the business.
  • Support the Head of Compliance in conducting and reviewing Consumer Duty oversight on all client types and on PPL
  • Support in the deliverance of ad hoc thematic monitoring reviews as undertaken by the Compliance Team
  • Support the firm to ensure that adequate records are kept throughout the organisation to demonstrate compliance with FCA requirements and to facilitate regulatory reporting
  • Contribute to robust and effective compliance controls within the organisation

The person:

  • An ICA or other recognised qualification in compliance or other relevant area
  • Solid understanding of the Financial Conduct Authority and an awareness of the Handbook and applicable rules
  • Understanding of Data Protection Law and its requirements.
  • At least 3 years practical experience in a similar role.
  • Must be able to perform independently and with minimal supervision
