Responsibilities

THE ROLE

Southern Housing is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Compliance Officer to join our Heating team within the Compliance department. This role is essential in supporting our Compliance Managers and ensuring our services meet all legislative requirements.
Your day will consist of booking appointments, leading on key administrative projects as needed. Additionally, you will support the management and monitoring of relevant compliance contracts, assist others in the department to ensure efficient and effective administrative practices, handle telephone calls, emails, CRM entries, and written correspondence, liaise with staff in other departments and external contacts, and monitor group email inboxes

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with hard to access properties including cold call visits, stickering.
  • Liaise with other departments and agencies necessary to achieve compliance
  • Prepare and deliver access notifications and stage compliance letters
  • Prepare evidence and documentation to support legal applications for access
  • Attend to court as necessary.
  • Contribute to the production and execution of quality checking regimes for both internal and external operations.
  • Assist in monitoring and production of performance reports.
  • Assist in the delivery of on time remedial activity.
  • Liaise with data team for updating and cleansing of service information
  • Liaise with Service Charge Team regarding Section 20
  • Process documentation that validates the closure of remedial activity.
    This role requires the successful candidate to have a full UK driving license and access to a vehicle as you will be required to travel to various properties.
    You’ll be based at one of our Kent offices in either Maidstone, or Sittingbourne, with the option for working in a hybrid way when appropriate and as agreed with your manager.
