The opportunity We are looking for a compliance officer to join our compliance and monitoring team working across the Western Bay of Plenty. We are seeking someone who has a positive and confident approach and enjoys working with customers and businesses, and can put their skills into action across Western Bay. We are looking for an organised self-disciplined team-player who understands legislation and the importance of compliance in a local environment. To set you up for success, you’ll have NZQA Regulatory Compliance Level 4 or similar Five to six years compliance or enforcement experience. Demonstrated knowledge of legal process/ procedures and legislation, including the Summary Proceedings Act. Demonstrated experience in investigative work, decision making and report writing. Knowledge of local government legislation and statutory requirements relevant to the position. Excellent communication skills both oral and written. Responsibilities
The Compliance Officer will join the compliance and monitoring team, applying their skills across the Western Bay of Plenty while working with customers and businesses. This role requires understanding legislation and ensuring compliance within the local government environment.
