Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW:

As a Compliance Design Engineer, you will ensure that Alicat’s products meet international regulatory standards and certifications. You will work closely with engineering teams to integrate compliance into product development, ensuring adherence to industry regulations such as REACH, RoHS, CE, and EMC.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and manage systems for maintaining compliance with global standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and supply chain teams to assess regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct gap assessments and stay ahead of regulatory developments affecting product design.
  • Work with external auditors and certification bodies to maintain compliance for hazardous location certifications (ATEX/IECEx).
  • Document and maintain compliance-related procedures, declarations, and technical files.
  • Core Qualifications and Experience Required for Application:
  • 2+ years of experience integrating compliance into product development.
  • Familiarity with Ex-certification bodies or nationally recognized test labs (ExCBs/NRTL).
  • Strong understanding of ISO 9001, IEC standards, and international trade compliance.
  • Ability to interpret regulatory requirements and provide clear guidance.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills.
