Compliance Specialist

ABILITIES/SKILLS REQUIRED:

Ten key operations, knowledge of Word and computer
operations helpful, ability to follow instructions, ability to handle argumentative situations.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Sitting/standing for long periods of time, light to moderate lifting (up to 30 pounds), bending, listening/hearing, speaking/verbal.

EDUCATION/TRAINING:

Responsibilities

PURPOSE:

To monitor over-the-road truck drivers relating to compliance issues in order to meet Federal, State and
Company mandates.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Maintain log data base including updating records, running reports, developing new reports and other duties as required.
  2. Perform falsification checks.
  3. Monitor identified drivers not presently meeting company standards.
  4. Prepare warning letters, file tickler maintenance, pull and close files as needed.
  5. Perform general office duties including typing, copying, and filing as required.
  6. Assist and back up Safety Director, Safety Manager/Senior Compliance Specialist as needed.
  7. Counsel drivers relating to compliance issues.
  8. Distribute and monitor use of log books.
  9. Log Warning letters.
  10. Present Safety information to Orientation class.
  11. Other duties as assigned.
