Compliance Specialist
Location: Palm Beach
Salary: $60k to $70k plus great benefits
The Compliance Specialist is responsible for ensuring that all vendors and contractors adhere to company policies, legal regulations, and industry standards. This role involves reviewing and managing vendor agreements, obtaining and tracking certificates of insurance, ensuring proper contractor licensing, and maintaining accurate records to ensure compliance.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree is a must
  • 3+ years of experience in a similar role such as vendor compliance, contract management or procurement
  • Certification in compliance management or related field a plus, not required.
  • Experience in the construction, manufacturing, or service industry a plus, not required.
  • Knowledge of insurance requirements and contractor licensing processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.

    Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year

Responsibilities
  • Vendor Agreement Review
  • Act as the primary point of contact for vendors regarding compliance requirements.
  • Review vendor agreements and contracts to ensure compliance with company policies, legal standards, and industry regulations.
  • Identify and resolve any discrepancies or compliance issues within vendor contracts.
  • Work closely with legal and executive management to negotiate terms and ensure vendor agreements meet the company’s requirements.
  • Vendor Insurance Compliance
  • Obtain, verify, and track certificates of insurance from vendors and contractors.
  • Ensure that all vendors maintain the appropriate levels of insurance coverage as required by the company.
  • Monitor insurance expiration dates and proactively request updated certificates before lapses occur.
  • Company Licensing
  • Apply for and track necessary contractor licenses to ensure all vendors are properly licensed for the work they perform.
  • Maintain records of contractor licenses and ensure they are up-to-date.
  • Work with contractors and relevant authorities to resolve any licensing issues.
  • Internal Collaboration & Compliance Monitoring
  • Collaborate with internal departments, including operations, operations support, and accounting, to align vendor compliance efforts with company goals.
  • Conduct regular audits of vendor compliance documentation to ensure adherence to company policies and legal requirements.
  • Monitor changes in industry regulations and update compliance procedures accordingly.
  • Report any non-compliance issues to management and recommend corrective actions.
