Description Responsibilities *Keep abreast of industry regulatory requirements in order to identify and implement the best practices in compliance with HMDA and ECOA and changing mortgage regulations. *Communicate and confirm with consumers the final disposition of the consumers loan application in conformity with ECOA, HMDA, and all other applicable regulations. Issue required notices for adverse action and notice of incomplete applications, in accordance with ECOA. *Monitor and track loan level data to ensure that all pieces of required HMDA data are present. Responsible for confirming that borrowers have requested their application be withdrawn. *Assist with administration of Company’s vender management oversight program. *Any other compliance related ad-hoc assignments as required for Company, agency and regulatory compliance. Requirements Job Requirements Broad Knowledge & Experience Broad understanding of residential mortgage loans and familiarity with mortgage loan products. Knowledge and understanding of regulatory requirements applicable to mortgage lending and other mortgage related laws and regulations. Above Average Skills Excellent verbal and written skills. Strong analytical and organizational skills. Demonstrated Ability Ability to interpret rules, regulations and guidelines and apply the interpretation to business processes. General Positive attitude, planning and execution, strong work ethic. Education & Experience Degree or Equivalent AA or equivalent from two-year college or technical school, or equivalent combination of education and experience. BS degree preferred. Years’ Experience One-year residential mortgage experience, knowledge of DAS and relevant regulatory guidelines. Specialized Training Knowledge of Encompass Database software. Microsoft Office Suite. Work Environment Physical Demands Office environment; Daily computer usage requires close vision. Regular attendance is required whether in office or remote. Work Conditions Fast paced, high volume activities. Temperament In order to succeed in this position, high attention to detail, analytical, and strong communication skills amidst a fast-changing environment is a must.
