Full time, continuing position Exciting opportunity to support compliance activities and drive best practice across the University Base Salary $112,628 - $122,702 + 17% superannuation About the opportunity As the Compliance Support Officer, you will play a critical role in supporting the University to meet its obligations under national security and foreign relations legislation. Working within a small, collaborative team, you will contribute to the design and delivery of compliance and awareness programs, provide expert guidance to stakeholders, and manage multiple work-streams to ensure a coordinated and consistent approach to compliance. Your key responsibilities will be to: provide guidance on university obligations related to national security legislation interpret and communicate university policies to ensure alignment with regulatory mandates coordinate and conduct due diligence assessments monitor and promote adherence to compliance standards and introduce tools for consistency develop and distribute educational materials to keep stakeholders informed of compliance requirements address stakeholder queries promptly and foster collaborative relationships compile reports, identify compliance improvements, and work with the team to resolve discrepancies monitor risk, promote workplace health and safety, and ensure alignment with university policies. About you bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of training and experience experience conducting analysis, reviews or assessments on compliance matters strong understanding of compliance, risk management, and audit techniques ability to interpret and apply policies and relevant legislation experience in the higher education sector or similar complex organisation excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills proficiency in planning, organisation, and data analysis collaborative approach and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
