Become part of the first new nuclear power station to be built in the UK in over 20 years! Join our Balfour Beatty Kilpatrick team as an Compliance Training Instructor on the Hinkley Point Project and develop with this amazing project.
About Hinkley Point C
The first new nuclear power station to be built in the UK in over 20 years; Hinkley Point C in Somerset will provide low-carbon electricity for around 6 million homes, create thousands of jobs and bring lasting benefits to the UK economy.
Marking a significant milestone in the revitalisation of our nuclear power industry, Hinkley Point C will make a major contribution to the UKs move to reduce carbon emissions. The electricity generated by its two EPR reactors will offset 9 million tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions a year.

What you’ll be doing

  • Working with the Learning & Development and Health & Safety teams to plan, prepare and deliver a range of training to contribute towards ensuring the MEH Alliance workforce remain compliant.
  • Delivery of training to new starts joining the MEH Alliance, including inductionsand behavioural safety training.
  • Delivery of a range of H&S specific related training, awareness and briefings toblue collar workers and apprentices.
  • The design and development of specific project related training as required.
  • Participation in train the trainer activity and CPD.
  • Tracking and recording of training completion information, with support of thewider L&D team.
  • Establishing effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Liaise with MEH JV partner organisations on training activity and resources.
  • Attendance and contribution to relevant HPC training working groups.
  • Manage sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
  • Assist with development and implementation of eLearning courses.
  • Providing metrics and reporting to stakeholders as required

Who we’re looking for

  • A recognised teaching qualification or previous experience of deliveringworkplace training.
  • Competent in using Microsoft packages such as Outlook, Excel and Word.
  • Experience of working in the Engineering Construction industry would bedesirable.
  • Ability to gain a security clearance.
