ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS FOR COMPLIANCE CO-ORDINATOR:

  • I must have at least two year’s experience in a Deputy Manager or similar within the elderly care home sector
  • I must have at least one year’s experience of providing some training (e.g. manual handling train the trainer, fire safety train the trainer, medication train the trainer, care planning training)
  • I will have a NVQ 3 in Care or equivalent and willing to study for NVQ 5 and/or 7 (or be a registered nurse)
  • I will be computer literate (particularly email, excel spreadsheets and word documents)
  • I will have a driving licence and comfortable driving 80 miles or more many days of the week
  • I will be happy to work away from home Mon-Fri on a regular basis as and when required
  • I will live 30 miles of the Jasmine Support Hub and/or within 60minutes drive per google maps

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS FOR COMPLIANCE SUPPORT CO-ORDINATOR:

Responsibilities

A LITTLE ABOUT THE COMPLIANCE SUPPORT CO-ORDINATOR ROLE:

This role is fundamental to Jasmine’s mission to provide the highest standards of elderly care. One of Jasmine’s key Aims is to have all six of our homes rated as Good or Outstanding with CQC. You will be responsible for helping to ensure the highest standards of Compliance and Care across all our elderly care homes.
This role will support with producing our internal monthly compliance report for each home, assist with audits, help train and develop our team and provide hands-on help to struggling homes to improve their compliance and care standards.

DAY TO DAY RESPONSIBILITIES FOR COMPLIANCE SUPPORT CO-ORDINATOR:

To help achieve Jasmine’s Mission and Aims by supporting with:

  • Jasmine Compliance Report (JCR) - Producing this for each of our homes every month
  • Training & Development - Of our Deputy Managers, Team Leaders & Senior Carers
  • Complaints and Safeguardings - Ensure they are logged, investigated and closed on a timely basis
  • Pressure sores, DoLs, Falls & Weights - Ensure logs are always up to date and proactively managed
  • External inspections - Preparation these (typically one per month)
  • Jasmine weekend On-call - Approximately every third weekend
  • Improving the compliance and care standards - Of any struggling home we have by working closely on site with the home manager (often needing to stay away from home a few nights a week)
