Description

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred
1-2 years post high school education in area of specialization
GPA: 3.0 or higher
Working towards a Bachelor’s Degree in engineering field, specifically Electrical Engineering

Responsibilities
  • Specify and identify Crystals, Switches, Resistors Inductors, Transistors, Connectors, Capacitors, ICs (chips), Diodes/LEDs
  • Identify electronic component that are candidates for obsolesce.
  • Assist in the redesign of ETC electrical and electronic products.
  • Develop design solutions for electronic component problems and specifications.
  • Entering all related information into the MRP: ETC part number, description, Manufacturer, Warehouse and Planner codes
  • Analyze product designs and processes for cost reduction opportunities.
  • Assist in vendor and manufacturer relationships to ensure quality products at the optimal cost are being used.
  • Ensure changes occur in a timely fashion.
  • Identify alternative manufactures and sources for components.
  • Ensure selected parts meet quality standards.
  • Assists in the management and release of standard products into manufacturing.
  • Appropriate vendors are selected to supply parts for new products.
  • Provide engineering support to the manufacturing of already released standard products.
  • ISO procedures related to Manufacturing Engineering are followed.
  • Responses to production issues provide appropriate solutions in a timely fashion.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Complete special projects and requests in a timely and positive fashion.
