Description Job Description Summary: Diagnose, Troubleshoot and Repair diagnostic imaging parts based on verbal and written instructions. Document processes modifications and newly developed repair procedures. Essential Functions and Job Duties: Demonstrates professional knowledge of parts repair by Block Imaging Run basic test protocols Update and install software updates Perform minor subassembly component replacements Document observations and test results Demonstrate proficient use of hand tools, including soldering iron, heat gun, multimeters, and power supplies Safely remove and replace suspect components from circuit boards Ability to read, interpret schematics and block diagrams Ability to create written work procedures and test validation forms Demonstrate proficient use of advanced tools used remove and replace SMD and BGA components To support the overall goal of fast, efficient and safe repair projects To assure that circuit boards and assemblies are prepped and cosmetically ready for sale or installation To develop expertise in mechanical install/removal of imaging equipment To assure all the work is documented in a manner required for compliance and for maintenance of appropriate internal standards To perform all functions in a safe and appropriate manner, adhering to guidelines set by OSHA for the warehouse To maintain a safe, clean, and functioning workspace Requirements Role Competencies: Mechanical aptitude Attention to detail Follow-though Computer: Software and hardware Database entry and management Communication, especially listening and speaking Ability to work cooperatively Self-starter who is able to fill “down time” in productive ways Cultural Fit: Exhibit the Block Core Values of Growth, Integrity, and Honor. Education or Relevant Experience: Evidence of mechanical aptitude that can be established by a combination of some or all the following: Education: Associates or B.S. in Engineering, Electronics or equivalent. Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years performing electronics testing or validation. Supervisory Responsibilities: This position only requires self-supervision.
