Description Job Description Statement: The Component Repair Technician plays a vital role in restoring medical imaging components by performing skilled diagnostics, repairs, and quality checks that directly support reliable patient-care technology. Essential Job Duties: Perform basic testing, software updates, and minor component replacements on parts and assemblies. Safely remove, replace, and repair electronic components—including SMD and BGA—using proper tools and techniques. Read and interpret schematics, block diagrams, and technical documentation to guide accurate repairs. Document all test results and repair activities thoroughly to meet compliance and internal standards. Prepare circuit boards and assemblies to ensure they are clean, safe, and ready for installation or sale. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workspace while following all internal safety guidelines. Demonstrate proficient use of hand tools—including soldering equipment, heat guns, multimeters, and power supplies—to support efficient, high-quality repair workflows. Other duties as assigned. Requirements Role Competencies: Strong mechanical aptitude. High attention to detail. Reliable follow-through on tasks. Solid computer skills (hardware, software, and data entry). Clear and effective communication (listening and speaking). Ability to work cooperatively and stay productive as a self-starter. Experience and Education Requirements: Preferred Experience Minimum of 2-3 years performing electronics testing or validation. Education (or equivalent experience) Associates or B.S. in Engineering, Electronics or equivalent.
