Airspeed Pty Ltd is an Australian company specialising in the application of composite materials for aerospace and maritime related projects. Our own product line includes a range of airborne equipment pods for military aircraft. We operate from purpose-built composites facilities at Mawson Lakes Technology Park in South Australia.
We are seeking expressions of interest for Composites Technicians to join our growing team. The work will entail the manufacture and maintenance of items constructed from composite materials including glass and carbon fibre woven cloths, epoxy resins, carbon fibre tow and pre-impregnated (‘prepreg’) materials.
An ideal candidate would have prior experience in composites fabrication using pre-impregnated (‘prepreg’) composite materials in oven and autoclave cure cycles, or resin infusion and filament winding techniques. Formal trade qualifications and/or technical training applicable to composites would be an advantage.
Alternatively, a suitable candidate might have formal trade qualifications and/or technical training in a related trade and be seeking an opportunity to re-role to composites. For example, you may have a background in surface finishing and spray painting supplemented with practical experience in composite repairs and/or laminating.

SELECTION CRITERIA:

• Must have experience in the fabrication of composites or experience in a trade that would allow you to re-role to composites.
• Must be able to interpret production drawings, technical specifications and maintenance manuals.
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
• Must have the right to work in Australia and a current full driver’s licence.
• Medical and relevant criminal screening checks will be conducted for successful candidates.

  Pay: $85,000.00 – $97,000.00 per year
