Job Description As a Composite Trimmer / Fitter, you will play a critical role in the manufacture of high‑quality carbon fibre components. You will be responsible for the precise trimming, fitting and bonding of composite parts, ensuring all work meets exacting engineering, quality and performance standards. This role operates in a fast‑paced, detail‑driven environment where accuracy, collaboration and continuous improvement are essential. Key Responsibilities Trim composite materials using specialised hand and power tools, working to tight tolerances defined by engineering drawings. Fit composite components for bonded assemblies, ensuring accuracy and repeatability. Bond and assemble composite components in line with approved procedures and quality standards. Carry out composite repairs, including filling voids and repairing damage using appropriate repair techniques. Conduct self‑inspection of completed parts to ensure full compliance with engineering drawings and process requirements. Work closely with colleagues across the composites team and wider departments to optimise workflow, meet production targets and continually improve component quality. Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment, strictly following 5S and LEAN principles. Accurately complete all required data capture to ensure regulatory and procedural compliance. Key Accountabilities Work in line with company values and behaviours, encouraging the same standards in others. Ensure full compliance with health and safety requirements at all times. Maintain high standards of personal conduct and professionalism, acting as a positive ambassador for the department. Uphold brand guidelines and maintain a high standard of departmental presentation. Work to defined quality standards and proactively identify opportunities for continuous improvement. Demonstrate awareness of cost cap requirements and ensure compliance within your role. This role operates on a weekend shift, Friday to Sunday, working 06:30 to 18:30 Qualifications Substantial experience in composite trimming and assembly ideally within Formula 1. Proven ability to trim composite components to precise dimensions and tight tolerances. Full understanding of adhesive specifications and their properties. Knowledge of a wide range of surface preparation methods for composite bonding. Proficient in composite repair techniques.
