Do you enjoy hands on work and have an eye for detail? We are looking for a Chemical Compounder to work in a warehouse located on the Southside of Jacksonville. The Chemical Compounder is responsible for weighing and mixing raw materials to create finished products according to the batch sheets. We are looking for candidates with great attendance, great attitudes, and a willingness to work in a fast-paced environment. 1+ year of experience in Industrial Compounding, Batch Operation Manufacturing, or as a Chemical Operator is required.

Responsibilities

  • Clean all equipment, tanks, and vessels as needed.
  • Observe and follow safety procedures and standard operating procedures (S.O.Ps) set by the company.
  • Follow and understand Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Maintain chemical inventories.
  • Assist in the transfer of product to the line.
  • Transfer finished products into drums and totes to complete orders.
  • Set up and monitor all mixing tanks, vessels, and mixers.
  • Obtain and understand all documentation for batching products.
  • Operate all equipment including tanks, mixers, scales, meters, and pumps.
  • Complete all paperwork and batch documentation in a timely manner.
  • Submit finished product samples to the lab for approval.
  • Communicate with production when batches are complete and ready to fill.
  • Monitor all temperatures on batches that require heating and cooling.
  • Verify raw chemical usage on each batch is added correctly with correct weights.
  • Observe and recognize chemical reactions.
  • Work with limited supervision.

The essential functions of this role include:

  • working in a smoke free environment
  • wearing steel toe shoes
  • manual lifting up to 50lbs
  • standing for 10 hours at one time
