POSITION SUMMARY
MEDLOG Canada, a leader in logistics and transportation solutions, is seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Accountant to join our Finance team. This role plays a key part in supporting the company’s day-to-day financial operations — including general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, and reporting — and will contribute to the successful integration of financial processes across our operational systems. The ideal candidate has strong accounting fundamentals, experience in logistics or a related industry, and the ability to work with high volumes in a fast-paced environment.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Prepare and post journal entries; maintain and reconcile the general ledger
- Complete monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities
- Perform reconciliations for balance sheet and bank accounts
- Support internal and external audits with required documentation
- Process accruals, prepaids, intercompany transactions, and adjustments
- Analyze financial data, identify variances, and prepare related reports
- Ensure accounting accuracy in SAP and integration across related systems
- Support the Finance Manager in budgeting, forecasting, and special projects
- Contribute to continuous process improvement and system optimization
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Operations, Payroll, and HR
- Prepare weekly and monthly analytical reports measuring KPIs
QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES

- Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CPA designation an asset, but not mandatory
- Minimum 3 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in logistics, transportation, or supply chain
- Proficiency in SAP (FI/CO modules); experience with integrated business systems is a strong asset
- Solid understanding of Canadian GAAP and financial reporting
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, etc.)
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving skills
- Effective communicator with the ability to explain financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders
- Bilingual (English and French), an asset
