Nous sommes présentement à la recherche d’un Comptable Immobilier pour le département Immobilier situé à notre bureau à Kirkland.
Relevant de la Directrice des finances, le Comptable de projet - immobilier est responsable de la préparation des états financiers mensuels pour toutes les entreprises non-construction et de la préparation de rapports réguliers au besoin. Le Comptable immobilier prépare les dossiers de fin d’année pour fins d’audit et d’examen.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Diplôme universitaire en comptabilité
  • Minimum de 5 ans d’expérience, de préférence en comptabilité immobilière
  • Titulaire d’une désignation de CPA, un atout
  • Soucieux des détails et possède de solides compétences analytiques
  • Motivé, adaptable et capable de travailler de façon autonome
  • Capable de travailler en équipe, partager ses connaissances et disponible pour aider les autres
  • Bonnes capacités organisationnelles et de gestion du temps
  • Bilingue, français et anglais

We are currently looking for a Real Estate Accountant to join our Real Estate department situated in our Kirkland office.
Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Project Accountant - Real Estate is responsible for preparing the monthly financial statements for all non-construction companies and for preparing regular reports as requested. The Real Estate Accountant prepares the year-end files for the review and auditing process.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • University undergraduate degree with major in Accounting
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience, preferably in Real Estate Accounting
  • CPA designation is considered an asset
  • Detail oriented and possesses strong analytical skills
  • Able to work independently, self-motivated and adaptable
  • Team player, shares knowledge and is available to help others
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Bilingual, French & English

Responsibilities

Day-to-Day Operations

  • Code payable entries
  • Verify expense accounts
  • Complete bank transactions
  • Perform bank reconciliation
  • Record all payments received
  • Approve and file the monthly or quarterly GST/QST/HST

Monthly Financial Statement Preparation

  • Record required adjustments including month-end accruals, journal entries and corrections to general ledger allocations
  • Ensure financial statements balance and/or make appropriate corrections
  • Prepare and review financial statements (some in ASPE and others in IFRS)
  • Prepare variance analysis
  • Ensure receivables are collected and payables are paid in a timely fashion

Quarterly Financial Reports

  • Ensure inter-company balances correspond and are eliminated for consolidation
  • Review consolidated financial statements
  • Prepare cash flow analysis to incorporate into group cash position

Coordination and Preparation of Year-End Audit and Review Files

  • Communicate with external accountants regarding timing and requirements for the audit and review
  • Prepare year-end file including lead sheets with supporting schedules and backup
  • Analyze individual accounts and make corrections, as required
  • Post year-end adjusting entries (e.g. depreciation, accruals)
  • Work closely with auditors to ensure an efficient and productive close to the file
  • Download and consolidate detailed General Ledgers for Limited Partnership companies
  • Retrieve supporting documentation for auditors
  • Liaise with auditors by answering their queries during the audit
  • Coordinate and prepare year-end review and notice to reader files for holding companies
  • Prepare other year-end files, as needed
