We are looking for an enthusiastic post-doctoral computational biologist to join a research group recently established in a joint venture between The UCL Cancer Institute and HSL Pathology Ltd, who provide laboratory diagnostic services to University College Hospitals and its partner NHS Trusts. This role is for two years fixed term.
The applicant will be based at the Halo Building in the heart of the Kings Cross Knowledge Quarter and will join a collaborative team of specialised HSL laboratory scientists and a UCL team led by Professor Tariq Enver, Dr Rajeev Gupta and Dr Sam Marguerat in The Cancer Institute. This is a new project studying biology of T-cell lymphomas using Spatial Transcriptomics.
The applicant will work alongside laboratory technical staff to generate and analyze a large Spatial Transcriptomics dataset of T cell Lymphoma clinical samples. In parallel, the project will involve the meta-analysis of a cohort high-dimension flow-cytometry datasets. Beside progressing understanding of the disease, the aim of the project will be to define new biomarkers of T cell lymphoma and explore the potential for Spatial technologies in the diagnostic space.
The post-holder will also work with the HSL molecular haematology diagnostic laboratory to develop bespoke pipelines for analyzing clinical exome sequencing and SNP-array data.
