Join our innovative Molecular Diagnostics Laboratory Team within the Department of Pathology, where we leverage next-generation sequencing to analyze genetic and molecular mutations in patient tumors. Your contributions will directly influence treatment decisions and facilitate patient enrollment in clinical trials for novel therapies. Role Overview: Review patient next-generation sequencing results to support clinical decision making. Develop and run computational pipelines for analyzing next-generation sequencing data. Analyze datasets to discover and annotate cancer-causing genetic mutations in tumor specimens. Evaluate the performance of novel technology platforms, assays, and tools. Collaborate with research groups to analyze biomedical data using bioinformatics techniques. Develop, refine, and enhance bioinformatics tools for interpreting large genomic datasets. Evaluate and test third-party software packages. Maintain detailed records of all analyses. Present results and updates at lab meetings and to collaborators. Attend seminars, lectures, and training courses to enhance computational biology skills and stay current in the field of cancer genomics. Key Qualifications: Masters or a bachelor's with 2+ years of work experience. 2+ years of experience in next-generation sequencing and cancer genetics. Strong analytical skills with a cross-disciplinary approach. Fluency in Python is required. Core Skills: Expertise in bioinformatics tools and techniques. Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation. Ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment.
