Valleysoft is seeking a highly skilled Compute and Virtualization Engineer - Senior Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and optimizing virtualization solutions that enhance system performance, availability, and scalability for our clients. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in virtualization technologies, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively with a diverse team. Responsibilities Design and architect virtualized infrastructure solutions using technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, or KVM. Implement and configure virtualization platforms to ensure optimal performance and reliability. Manage and maintain virtual machines, ensuring high availability and disaster recovery capabilities. Monitor system performance and capacity, making recommendations for improvements and optimizations. Develop and document best practices for virtualization management and deployments. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate virtualization solutions with existing infrastructure and services. Provide expert-level support and troubleshooting for virtualization issues. Train and mentor junior engineers on virtualization technologies and best practices. Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in virtualization and compute engineering. Participate in strategic planning and capacity planning efforts for future virtualization needs. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Proven experience in virtualization engineering, with a strong focus on enterprise environments. Extensive knowledge of virtualization technologies including VMware vSphere, Hyper-V, or KVM. For Sr. Engineer: 5-8 years of experience in IT infrastructure, with a strong focus on compute and virtualization technologies. For Engineer: 3-5 years of experience in IT infrastructure, with a strong focus on compute and virtualization technologies. Strong understanding of networking, storage, and security related to virtualization. Experience with automation and orchestration tools related to virtualization environments. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Relevant certifications in virtualization technologies (e.g., VCP, MCSE, or similar) are preferred. Ability to design and implement advanced virtualization solutions effectively. Skills: Strong knowledge of compute and virtualization best practices.
