Description
Overview Element has an pportunity for a Computed Radiography (CR) Level II Technician to support aerospace testing operations at client sites across the United States. This is a field-based role requiring travel and on-site deployment. The CR Level II Technician is responsible for performing radiographic testing in accordance with company-approved procedures, applicable codes, and customer specifications while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and project timelines. Compensation: $30 - $70/hour (Depending on Experience) Location: Field-Based - Deployment to Client Sites in Minnesota, Virginia, Oregon, or Southern CaliforniaTravel: Required (Flights, lodging, and per diem provided) Responsibilities Conduct computed radiographic (X-ray) testing in accordance with written company procedures, customer requirements, and applicable codes and standards Prepare test specimens; set up, calibrate, and adjust radiographic testing equipment Read and interpret radiographic images, identify and evaluate indications, and determine acceptability per applicable acceptance criteria Properly disposition radiographic images and tested parts Interpret and apply industry specifications and standards (e.g., ASTM, Boeing, GE, Honeywell, Pratt & Whitney) Accurately analyze test data and prepare clear, thorough, and well-written inspection reports Maintain radiographic equipment and tools in safe and proper working condition Support technique development and provide technical input as needed Perform all work safely, efficiently, and in compliance with radiation safety requirements Meet project deadlines while managing multiple priorities in a field environment Must be able to travel to client Sites in Minnesota, Virginia, Oregon, or Southern California (1 week notice will be provided) Perform other duties as assigned Skills / Qualifications Minimum 1 year of experience as a Computed Radiography Level II Technician per NAS 410, with experience testing aerospace castings Must meet NAS 410 training and certification requirements for CR Level II Experience with casting inspection and digital image interpretation Completion of approved 40-hour Radiation Safety training ASNT Level I and Level II classroom hours and documented on-the-job training hours Strong understanding of radiographic techniques and digital image evaluation for castings Demonstrated ability to document NDT results accurately and thoroughly Strong organizational skills with attention to detail Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure while meeting deadlines and handling multiple assignments Willingness and ability to travel and work at customer sites as required (1 week notice will be provided) Company Overview Element is one of the fastest growing testing, inspection and certification businesses in the world.
