POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a skilled Computer-Aided Drafting (CAD) Specialist to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in using Auto CAD/Civil 3D software to produce accurate and detailed technical drawings and survey plats. As a CAD Specialist, you will play a critical role in the design process, working closely with Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors to bring concepts to life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process conventional field notes and digitally collected data, analyze field data, and interact with Professional Land Surveyors and survey field crews.
  • Use survey data for the creation of survey plats and exhibits.
  • Compute data points for construction layout while working directly with multiple survey field crews.
  • Create detailed CAD drawings, plans, and models based on design specifications and project requirements.
  • Collaborate with Professional Land Surveyors and Engineers to develop accurate technical drawings.
  • Revise and update drawings based on feedback or project changes.
  • Maintain and organize CAD files to ensure project consistency and accuracy.
  • Conduct quality checks on CAD designs to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Stay up to date with advancements in CAD software and technology.

Qualifications:

  • CAD Software Skills: Proficient in AutoCAD/Civil 3D and Trimble Business Center. Experience with Microstation Open Roads Designer is a plus.
  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy in creating, reviewing, and modifying CAD drawings.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
  • Time Management: Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines, while maintaining a high level of precision and quality.
  • Adaptability: Willingness to learn new software, tools, and industry standards as they evolve.
