Description
Ensure a single source of truth for all input data, including CAD, Bill of Materials (BOM), welds, and material properties. You will manage model quality, support sign-off processes, and resolve issues with input data. Develop and execute model build plans, manage flexible CAE architectures, and support sub-system model gathering. You will also be responsible for model quality and sign-off support, ensuring packages are ready for meshing. Drive end-to-end analytical progression for milestone signoff across various vehicle attributes, including Vehicle NVH, Body NVH, Durability, Safety, Thermal Systems, Water Management, Chassis, and Electric Powertrain/Battery/PT. This includes optimization, Total Value Management (TVM), competitive analytical benchmarking, and test-to-CAE correlation support. Lead co-creation efforts to develop and validate countermeasures, facilitate cross-attribute validation. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive design improvements and communicate program status to senior management. Identify and implement efficiency projects to achieve faster model builds, accelerate CAE loops, and automate analysis workflows. You will contribute to the development of Ford's CAE process and global CAE alignment initiatives. Manage issue resolution processes, drive analysis progression status, report on CAE health, and facilitate discussions for CAE countermeasures. Utilize Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems to manage, store, and retrieve CAE models, analysis results, and related engineering data, ensuring seamless collaboration across global teams and throughout the product development lifecycle. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience in Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) within the automotive or a related industry. Hands-on experience using CAE tools and methodologies for structural, thermal, NVH, or safety analysis. Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems (e.g., 3DX, SDM, TeamCenter) for engineering data management and collaboration. Familiarity with automotive product development processes and cycles. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment. Experience using Nastran, HyperMesh, HyperView, HyperWorks, Abaqus. Experience with scripting or programming for automation (e.g., Python, MATLAB).
