REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND EDUCATION:

  • Bachelors degree and 8+ years of relevant experience or Masters with 6+ years of relevant experience (additional experience, education and training may be considered in lieu of degree).
  • A degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of professional experience in incident detection, incident response, cyber security, and digital forensics.
  • Experience with Firewalls (functionality and maintenance), Office 365 Security, VSX, and Endpoint Security.
  • Proficiency in one or more programming/scripting languages such as Python, C++, Java, Ruby, Node, Go, or PowerShell.
  • Strong awareness of current cybersecurity trends, hacking techniques, and digital forensics best practices.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND EDUCATION:

  • Experience supporting USINDOPACOM.
  • Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) certification
  • Certification through the International Society of Forensic Computer Examiners (ISFCE) or the International Association of Computer Investigative Specialists (IACIS).
Responsibilities
  • Conducting forensic analysis of computers and storage devices to recover, identify, and evaluate deleted, damaged, or manipulated data, including documents, images, and emails.
  • Utilizing forensic tools and investigative methods to uncover, analyze, and interpret electronic data such as internet history, word processing documents, and hidden or lost files.
  • Producing and disseminating technical intelligence reports and cyber briefings for senior leadership and intelligence stakeholders.
  • Performing predictive intelligence analysis on adversaries’ cyberspace signatures, capabilities, force missions, and tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).
  • Coordinating with national agencies, theater organizations, and internal teams to share knowledge, identify adversarial TTPs, and support cyber planning and operations.
  • Identifying intelligence gaps, evaluating collected intelligence, and researching adversaries’ cyberspace capabilities and vulnerabilities.
  • Advising as a subject matter expert on digital forensics and network defense, and assisting in the development of new forensic processes, training, and mentoring of personnel.
