JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Computer Hardware Repair Technician with in-depth knowledge of repairing motherboards, laptops, desktops, and other component level repair. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and performing board-level repairs, including soldering, chip replacement, and component-level diagnostics and repair.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven experience in computer hardware repair, with hands-on expertise in motherboard and component-level repair. Experience can be overseas as well.
  • Strong knowledge of electronic circuits, schematics, and diagnostic tools.
  • Proficiency in soldering (including micro-soldering) and handling precision repair equipment.
  • Experience with BGA rework stations, hot air rework, and multimeter/oscilloscope usage.
  • Ability to diagnose and repair faults in laptops, desktops, and related peripherals.
  • Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (OPTIONAL):

  • Diploma/Degree in Electronics, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • Industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, OEM certifications).
  • Previous experience in a hardware repair service center.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair hardware issues in desktops, laptops, and servers, with a focus on motherboard and circuit-level faults.
  • Perform advanced component-level repairs including reflow, reballing, chip replacements, and soldering of ICs and connectors.
  • Troubleshoot and repair faults in power supply units, RAM, graphics cards, hard drives/SSDs, and peripheral devices.
  • Test and replace faulty components using precision tools and diagnostic equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, replaced parts, and test results.
  • Work closely with the support team to provide technical assistance and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in hardware technologies and repair techniques.
