Job Description CSA - Computer Lab Assistant (Cambridge) Purpose of Role The Computer Lab Assistant is responsible for supporting the effective functioning of the computer laboratory by assisting teachers and students during ICT classes, maintaining computer systems and equipment, and ensuring a safe and organized lab environment. CSA Computer Lab Assistant (Cambridge) Key Responsibilities Assist teachers during computer science and ICT practical sessions. Ensure all computers, projectors, printers, and related equipment are functioning properly before classes. Support students in logging into systems and accessing required software and learning platforms. Maintain the computer lab, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and proper arrangement of equipment. Install and update necessary software and applications under the guidance of the ICT department. Troubleshoot basic hardware and software issues during lab sessions. Monitor student usage of computers and ensure adherence to lab rules and digital safety policies. Maintain an inventory of lab equipment and report any technical issues or damages. Assist in preparing the lab for examinations, practical assessments, and ICT-related activities. Ensure safe handling and proper shutdown of computer systems after lab sessions.
