Job Details Job Location: 111 - Modesto - Modesto, CA 95354 Position Type: Part Time Salary Range: $22.00 - $25.00 Hourly Under Supervision of the Vice President of Program operations, the Computer Literacy Instructor plays a critical role in bridging the digital divide and promoting equitable access to technology. This position will teach foundational computer and digital skills to program participants through hands-on instruction that builds confidence in technology use for everyday life, education, and employment. Other duties will include developing lesson planning, tracking participant progress and outcomes, and collaborating with program staff to continuously improve program effectiveness. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Adhere to all El Concilio California's policies and procedures. Develop lesson plans that focus on foundational skills such as: Basic computer use (hardware, operating systems) Internet navigation and online safety Email setup and communication Microsoft Office or Google Workspace Job Readiness technology skills Provide one-on-one support and group instructions on a weekly basis. Conduct workshops structured around program curriculum and objectives. Integrate real-world, task-based learning activities into instruction. Maintain a welcoming and engaging learning environment for all program participants. Maintain accurate records and reports for internal use and external funders. Track participant attendance, progress, and achievement of learning objectives. Create purchase orders for program purposes as needed. Other duties as assigned by direct supervisor or administration. EDUCATION A Bachelor’s in Information Technology or related field with 1-3 years of experience working in a similar capacity is highly preferred; An Associate’s Degree in Information Technology or related field with 2-4 years of experience working in a similar capacity is highly preferred; A High School Diploma or GED Equivalency and 3-5 years of experience in training or tutoring is required in lieu of a degree.
