Description

To expand our team, we are seeking a qualified Computer Network and Systems Engineer. In order to ensure that the business runs effectively, dependably, and securely, you will be in charge of the design, configuration, and upkeep of our network systems.

KEY SKILLS:

  • Proficient understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, etc.) and configuring networking devices (routers, switches, and firewalls).
  • Experience with server operating systems such as Windows Server and Linux for installation, configuration, and administration.
  • Experience with server operating systems such as Windows Server and Linux for installation, configuration, and administration.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, and administering cloud-based network infrastructures.
  • Knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMWare and Hyper-V) for administering and managing virtual networks and systems.
  • Experience in scripting languages (Bash, PowerShell, Python) to automate tasks and improve system efficiency.

    Pay: $70,000.00 – $111,108.61 per year

Responsibilities
  • Network Design and Implementation: Design and implement networking solutions for LAN, WAN, and wireless networking.
  • Systems Set-up and Maintenance: Install, configure, and maintain operating systems (Windows Server, Linux) and network servers.
  • Security Management: Implement protective measures for systems and networks, including firewalls, VPNs and intrusion detection systems (IDS) for security management.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot networks/systems by diagnosing, correcting and escalating issues to minimize downtime.
  • Monitoring and Optimizing Performance: Constantly monitor the performance of networks and systems, identify bottlenecks and implement network optimizations.
  • Support and Documentation: Provide technical support to end-users and document network configuration, troubleshooting procedures and steps.
  • Backup and Disaster Recovery: Providing and implementing backup solutions and having disaster recovery measured, having it in place and tested.
