Vocational/technical training beyond High School
Citizenship/Security Clearance Requirement:
U.S. citizen able to obtain Secret clearance

Responsibilities
  • Analyze existing or proposed system or design data processing programs and related procedures to process data. Use a multi-step process from system investigation, analysis, design, implementation and maintenance to bring new or changed systems to meet customer’s requirements
  • Interpret program requirements, audit auxiliary peripheral units to ascertain correctness of input data, and check condition and arrangement of tapes
  • Coordinate inputs/data in support of meeting contractual requirements
  • Compile programs for programmers as required
  • Organize the input and output of data from the computer
  • Investigate and locate source of non-standard irregularities; analyze and recover program operations in complex error situations
  • Write minor operational programs
  • Comply with computer operation standards and procedures
  • Provide technical support to computer users and organize sequence of events in computer operation cycle
  • Provide general maintenance and installation support of computer equipment
  • Provide direct customer interface to identify and support data base requirements
  • Design modifications to current interface to identify and support data base requirements.
  • Ensure general guidelines and technical standards are being met
  • Establish and maintain a filing system of databases for tracking and inventory of database information
  • Develop, process and submit data reports for technical presentations and meetings
  • Performs related work as required and other position related work as assigned/requested
  • Reads, understands, and implements general and specific operational, safety, quality, and environmental requirements of all plans, procedures, and policies pertaining to his/her job
