• Computer Science/Programming Tutor

Requirements:

• A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (university students in 3rd and the 4th year of studies are welcome)
• Strong understanding of any or all following: Scratch,C language, Minecraft, Python, Java
• Experience in working with kids or teenagers, in personalized or group instruction;
• Past tutoring experience and familiarity with AP/IB Curriculum or any programming contestare definitely pluses.
• Are organized, motivated, and enthusiastic about making a difference in the lives of students.
• Have strong communication skills in English.
• Preferably with over 3 years of AP teaching experience, familiar with CS competitions, and with a track record of strong results in past years. Teachers who are available for in-person instruction will be given priority.
• Weekend availability preferred.

Responsibility:

• This position is available for part-time and full-time.
• All curriculum is ready to go but is always in the process of being revised as classes run.
• Instructors will be required to prepare for lessons, provide brief course outline before the beginning of a semester/term and give homework to students during the course
• Evaluate the take-home project and provide meaningful feedback of students’ performance
• must be legally authorized to work in Canada, and also past a background check as part of the on-boarding process.

Compensation: Negotiable, dependent on expertise
Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 24 months
Pay: $35.00-$45.00 per hour
