We are seeking a mission-focused Computer Systems Security Specialist to support a State level cybersecurity program. In this role, you will be part of a team providing cyber assessments based on NIST CSF 2.0 compliance reporting. Job Description Participate in security assessments of designated organizations Analyze and define security requirements for multi-level security (MLS) issues Design, develop, engineer, and implement solutions to MLS requirements Gather and organize technical information about an agency’s mission goals and needs, existing security products, and ongoing programs in the MLS arena Perform risk analysis, which also includes risk assessment Review the installation and security related controls for a wide variety of computing platforms including operating systems, sub-systems, databases, and software products used to support the processing environment Minimum Requirements Minimum three (3) years IT systems analysis and programmingt experience BS Degree in a technical field Proficient in generally accepted IT standards, statements, and practices, as well as IT security and control practices. Knowledgeable in NIST CSF 2.0 documentation and its application Experience in defining computer security requirements for high-level applications, evaluating approved security product capabilities, and developing solutions to MLS problem Must be able to travel to various locations within the state of Maryland as needed. Actual compensation will be determined based on a number of factors as permitted by law.
