JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Associate Computer Systems Analyst is responsible for analyzing science, engineering, business, and other data processing problems to develop and implement solutions to complex applications programs, system administration issues, or network concerns. You will perform systems management and integration functions, improving existing computer systems, and review computer systems capabilities workflow and schedule limitations. You may analyze or recommend commercially available software.
Project Specific: The Associate Computer Systems Analyst (Cyber) will assist in analysis of actual and predictable interacting operational activities of business to obtain a quantitative, rational basis for decision making through the application of logic and scientific or economic disciplines and techniques. Assists with devising models and measuring techniques; utilizes mathematics, statistical methods, engineering methods, operational mathematics techniques (linear programming, game theory, probability theory, symbolic language, etc.), and other principles and laws of scientific and economic disciplines.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors of Science degree with 5+ years of experience or Associate’s degree or Technical School with at least 2 years of experience.
  • DoD Secret Security Clearance
  • Ability to demonstrate an understanding and ability to apply technical principles, theories, and concepts within the Cyber Research field and.
  • Professionally certified as Technical Level I as defined by DODI 8570 is a requirement.
  • CompTIA Security+ Certification, or equivalent
Responsibilities
  • Maintain up-to-date records of COMSEC inventory and submit required accounting reports IAW policies and procedures.
  • Administer initial briefings and debriefings to individual users; maintain copies of all.
  • Complete the required NSA COMSEC training within the required performance timelines.
  • Programming and local distribution of COMSEC devices to include but not limited to; Sectera vIPer Universal Secure phone, and network encryptor solutions (i.e. TACLANEs).
  • Order, receipt, loading and management of COMSEC keying material using devices such as the Key Management Infrastructure (KMI) and Simple Key Loader (SKL) and other devices as necessary.
  • Ensure each COMSEC Element accounts are in compliance with NSA policies.
  • Provide technical and administrative support to COMSEC equipment holders documenting within DSS Service Support system.
  • Evaluate new COMSEC equipment and fax machines for use by DSS.
  • Maintain a stock of COMSEC equipment to provide immediate replacement of operational equipment for use in establishing emergency circuits and to replace equipment in need of repair.
  • Provide technical support to DSS to facilitate interoperability of purchases of COMSEC equipment.
  • Update and maintain the SOPs for COMSEC activities and re-key all circuits as required.
  • Assist in properly storing, managing, and maintaining accountability within KMI on all COMSEC material and assets.
  • Maintain COMSEC access list for DSS COMSEC Controlled/Closed Area Designations.
  • Ensure prompt and accurate preparation, signature, and submission of account correspondence, message, and accounting reports.
  • Conduct periodic spot checks to ensure clearances listed are actually held and valid.
  • Develop and conduct COMSEC training and materials.
  • Assist in providing consultation to technical solutions over a wide range of complex difficult problems in which proposed solutions are imaginative, thorough, practicable, and consistent with organization objectives.
