We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Help Desk Technician to join our on-site IT support team. This role provides first-level technical assistance to end-users, supporting desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and general network access issues. The ideal candidate must have strong communication skills, a customer-service mindset, and hold an active CompTIA Security+ certification. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in IT preferred)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance
  • Active CompTIA Security+ certification (required)
  • U.S. citizenship (required for access to certain systems and environments)
  • Basic knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft Office Suite, and networking fundamentals
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Must be able to work on-site full time; remote work is not permitted for this position

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Familiarity with Active Directory, Exchange/Office 365, and remote access tools
  • Previous exposure to DoD, defense, or secure IT environments
  • Additional IT certifications (CompTIA A+, Network+, ITIL)
Responsibilities
  • Provide on-site technical support for end-users experiencing hardware, software, and connectivity issues
  • Respond to and resolve trouble calls in a timely and professional manner
  • Set up, configure, and maintain workstations, printers, and other peripheral equipment
  • Assist with password resets, user account support, and system access issues
  • Document all support activities and contribute to technical documentation and user guides
  • Escalate more complex issues to Tier 2/3 support teams as necessary
  • Follow IT policies, security procedures, and organizational protocols
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and secure workspace and equipment are area
