JOB DESCRIPTION

Become part of our growing and dynamic Security team! BAE Systems in Nashua, NH is looking to hire a COMSEC Compliance and Strategy Manager who will be responsible for managing all proposed projects, OPORDs, and standardization initiatives involving NSA and other COMSEC accounts within the Electronic Systems (ES) Sector. The COMSEC Compliance and Strategy Manager’s prime responsibility is to interact with security, IT, program managers and government customers to meet COMSEC requirements in support of program activities and advance standardization across the sector.
COMSEC Compliance and Strategy Manager / Subject Matter Expert is to provide management direction during the planning, execution, and sustainment phases of all ES Sector COMSEC initiatives. COMSEC Compliance and Strategy Manager will also ensure the requirements of the NSA/CSS Policy Manual 3-16 and other applicable manuals / OPORDS are implemented, and compliance is maintained at every ES Sector site. Manage and support COMSEC across the ES Sector to include all COMSEC inspections and Staff Assistance Visits. When needed support the team with managing and configuring secure technical equipment and secure communication devices for interoperability with ES enterprise IT systems IAW policy and procedure established by the government and BAE.

Responsibilities of the COMSEC Compliance and Strategy Manager will include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide management direction during the planning, execution, and sustainment phases of all ES Sector COMSEC initiatives
  • Ensure the requirements of the NSA/CSS Policy Manual 3-16 and other applicable manuals / OPORDS are implemented, and compliance is maintained.
  • Provide oversight for the entire ES Security COMSEC program for standardization and compliance.
  • Manage mandatory government request for cryptographic software upgrades.
  • Implement ES KMI System
  • Knowledge and ability to operate multiple Key loading devices (SKL, DTD, RASKL) STE and ViPer phones.
  • Support the local site team with maintaining and coordinating future KEYMAT in support of all programs with the proper short title as needed depending on the crypto period.
  • Investigate, prepare and submit COMSEC incident reports to multiple cognizant security authorities.
  • Provide support for sites conducting their semi-annual physical inventor of all COMSEC material; ensure company compliance.
  • Support the local site team with performing initial and refresher COMSEC and Crypto briefings and employee training on processes and procedures.
  • Support the local site team with receipt, transfer, accountability, safeguarding and destruction of all COMSEC material.
  • Support the local site team with maintaining the COMSEC Accounting System (DIAS) and related records in accordance with governmental regulations.
  • Supervisory role - provide oversight, routine feedback and annual performance evaluations in accordance with company policies.
  • Provide support with all COMSEC inspections and Staff Assistance Visits.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS

  • Ability to apply the foregoing knowledge of government security requirements in a complex multi-level secure environment to ensure program compliance in non-routine situations
  • Active Secret Clearance is required
  • Minimum of a High School Diploma with 8 or more years of relevent Comsec experience
  • Management experience; people and/or projects
  • Ability to work independently to identify, assess & resolve unique security situations with innovative solutions geared to facilitate contract performance within the bounds of security requirements
  • Highly proficient written and verbal communication skills with emphasis on clear and cogent presentation of complex information
