Description
SAIC is looking for a COMSEC Responsible Officer (CRO) to support the Engineering, development, Integration and Sustainment (EDIS) program for the Space Systems Command’s Prototype Ground Development and Sustainment branch at Kirtland AFB in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The CRO will perform a variety of assignments associated with COMSEC duties IAW AFMAN 17-1302-0, COMSEC User Requirements, specific to the program’s task orders. The CRO will be responsible for the management of non-collateral COMSEC sub-accounts IAW National Security Agency and USAF-specified publications. What You’ll Get to Do: Serve as a subject matter expert on communications security and programmatic compliance Work with program managers to bridge the gap between high-level security policies and requirements. This includes the technical and operational implementation of those requirements. Procure and maintain requisite COMSEC materials Implement physical and procedural controls for accessing, storing, and transporting COMSEC material, adhering to the two-person integrity (TPI) policy for key material Answer questions on process, timeline, status of assets, and reporting Manage the keying network and telecommunication equipment Analyze, investigate, and participate in the resolution of classified security issues. Coordinate actions(s) to be taken to ensure compliance with the classified security program. Administer an inventory of communications security and other related materials Ensure compliance with government requirements and regulations Train personnel in COMSEC procedures and the use of related equipment Assist in writing policy, procedure, and standards Day-to-day support specific to internal programs and stakeholders Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline and 9 years of relevant experience. Will accept 4 additional years of experience in lieu of degree Active Top Secret or DoE Q clearance with SCI eligibility (must be eligible for SCI indoctrination within first 3 months of start date) and be able to obtain and maintain TS/SCI Three (3) or more years’ experience as COMSEC custodian in a DoD environment Comprehensive knowledge of COMSEC policies and procedures User experience with the maintenance and operation of common COMSEC devices Experience with key management infrastructure Experience preparing for and participating in audits and assessments Desired Skills and Experience: Experience as a key management infrastructure operating account manager (KOAM) General knowledge and experience in Personnel Security, Physical Security, and Industrial Security CompTIA Security+ certification
