Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Perform the assigned sampling of stockpiles, including preparation of samples using metallurgical laboratory equipment.
  • Quality control and reporting of all routine sampling and other relevant data to ensure accurate data is maintained and reported in a timely manner.
  • Perform metallurgical accounting and reconciliation of concentrate.
  • Support the Concentrate Logistics Superintendent where necessary, including identifying efficiency improvements throughout the concentrate logistics value chain.
  • Physically inspect and ensure the quality of bulk product prior to dispatch.
  • Operate forklifts in a safe and controlled manner to load trucks with bulk product.
  • Comply with all safety procedures and ensure adherence to company policies and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Developing daily haulage plans and weekly forecast to meet the upcoming shipping schedule.
  • Identifying and implementing efficiency improvements throughout the concentrate logistics value chain.
  • Tracking, monitoring and reporting on variables and shortfalls to mitigate risk in meeting shipping schedules.
  • Ensuring product grade and moisture content is to the client specification and available to meet shipping schedules.
  • Contribute to incident investigations and reporting in relation to site logistics.
  • Coordinate the activities of the site logistics contractors.
  • Occasional after-hours contact in the event of issues related to haulage or ship loading
