EXIGENCES DU POSTE / QUALIFICATIONS

  • Baccalauréat en ingénierie mécanique ou aérospatiale est requis.
  • Plusieurs niveaux seront considérés pour ce poste avec un minimum de 5 ans d’expérience en conception mécanique
  • Maîtrise de la conception mécanique assistée par ordinateur (CATIA V6, 3DX, etc.).
  • Maîtrise des logiciels de bureautique de base, en particulier la suite Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
  • Capacité avérée à travailler en équipe et à communiquer efficacement au sein de l’équipe.
  • Capacité avérée à organiser et à hiérarchiser une variété d’activités et de tâches.
  • Expérience de l’élaboration de dessins en 2D, de modèles en 3D, de l’ingénierie basée sur les modèles, de la saisie des besoins et de l’élaboration de spécifications.
  • Expérience de travail dans un environnement de production aérospatiale ou automobile, axé sur les composants mécaniques.
  • Expérience dans un environnement de fabrication de précision, axé sur les processus de fabrication de composants mécaniques tels que l’usinage des métaux, les traitements thermiques et d’autres processus spécialisés.
  • Connaissance pratique des exigences GD&T.
  • Expérience de l’utilisation de logiciels PLM tels que ENOVIA ou 3DX pour gérer le cycle de vie des produits.
  • Expérience de l’élaboration d’exigences dans un environnement interfonctionnel.
  • Expérience de travail dans le cadre de programmes d’ingénierie interfonctionnels.
  • Capacité à formuler des données et des concepts techniques à l’intention d’un large public de personnes ayant des connaissances techniques différentes.

The Mechanical System Design Engineer at Bell is responsible for design activities related to preparation and release of engineering data for multiple rotorcraft mechanical components including structures, controls, hydraulics, kits and other supporting components as well as subsystem integration. Furthermore, the mechanical system design engineer supports the manufacturing, assembly and validation of these mechanical components. Finally, the mechanical system design engineer ensures compliance with all best practices, customer and industry specifications in support of air vehicle performance and safety requirements.

SUMMARY OF JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Create and/or improve mechanical system definition in the form of detail, assembly and installation 2D and 3D technical data utilizing CAD software, various analytical tools, and PLM software.
  • Support manufacturing and testing of mechanical system components and sub-systems, working with suppliers on part development, interpreting technical data, and assisting in product improvements.
  • Open to work in a fast paced, matrix team environment supporting a variety of aircraft lifecycle stages.
  • Work with production, certification delegates and other Bell engineers/ technical leads and develop engineering solutions.
  • Be flexible, ready to learn, wear multiple hats and work across multiple design domains to support the Bell 505 product line

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or aerospace Engineering is required.
  • Multiple levels will be considered for this position with a minimum of 5 years’ mechanical design experience required.
  • Proficiency with mechanical design computer aided design (CATIA V6, 3DX, etc).
  • Proficiency with basic office computer software, specifically the Microsoft office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
  • Demonstrated work in a team environment and ability to effectively communication within the team.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize a variety of activities and tasks.
  • Experience developing 2D drawings, 3D models, model-based engineering, requirement capture, and specification development.
  • Experience working in an aerospace or automotive production environment, focused on mechanical components.
  • Experience working in a precision manufacturing environment, focused on mechanical component manufacturing processes such as metal machining, heat treatments, and other specialized processes.
  • Working knowledge of GD&T requirements.
  • Experience working with PLM software such as ENOVIA or 3DX to drive product lifecycle.
  • Experience in developing requirements in a cross functional environment.
  • Experience working on cross functional engineering programs.
  • Ability to articulate technical data and concepts to a wide audience of individuals of different technical backgrounds.
    Any other combination of schooling and experience deemed equivalent may be considered.
