Description

We are looking for a Group Controller for 32 to 36 hours per week.

Where are you going to work?

Support with the greatest challenge of a human life. That is what we stand for at CJG Rijnmond. Because raising children is a responsibility that can sometimes be overwhelming. And anyone who has ever been a child knows: growing up itself isn't always easy either.

We are there for parents and caregivers who have questions. And for the children and young people who could use a little support. We are always close by: during pregnancy, at the child health clinic, in the classroom and beyond, until the moment they turn 18. A healthy and safe childhood for all children in Rotterdam-Rijnmond: that is what we strive for every day.

CJG Rijnmond is in a key phase of organizational development. We are working on a future-proof organization that responds better to societal developments, changing laws and regulations, and the increasing need for data-driven management. In this transformation, we are strengthening our operations, improving processes, and building a culture of responsibility, learning, and continuous improvement. As Group Controller, you play a key role in this by further professionalizing financial management, risk control, and the planning and control cycle.

What are you going to do?

As Group Controller, you are the independent and critical sparring partner of the Executive Board, Supervisory Board, Youth & Family, and the clusters. You provide solicited and unsolicited advice on financial health, strategic choices, risks, operations, and internal control. From an organization-wide perspective, you assess decisions for feasibility, legality, efficiency, and risks. You contribute to a sustainably healthy financial position of CJG Rijnmond and help the organization anticipate developments within and outside the healthcare sector in a timely manner. In doing so, you connect financial expertise to societal challenges and organizational development.

In addition:

  • initiate, guide, and conduct your analyses, audits, and investigations;
  • assess your plans, procedures, and processes for quality, risks, legality, and feasibility;
  • advise your board, management, and executive team on strategic issues, investments, and organizational objectives;
  • develop and improve your management information, steering information, reports, and multi-year overviews;
  • you direct and strengthen the planning and control cycle, including budgets, forecasts, interim reports, and management reports;
  • you fulfill an auditing role in the annual financial statement process and supervise the auditor's checks;
  • further structure and develop your risk management and internal control;
  • you draw up internal control and audit plans and monitor their implementation;
  • you monitor the risk profile and resilience of the organization and report on this;
  • you maintain a relevant internal and external network and represent CJG Rijnmond in various consultation structures;
  • You strengthen financial and business awareness within the organization and contribute to a culture of accountability, learning, and continuous improvement.
